RULES FOR SHOWS
Based on rules for National Show
(See the ANCC Standards Book)
Owners or representatives can steward their own cavies.
No talking at the show table except by Judge or Steward.
No Judge or immediate family of that Judge may show his/her cavies at a show he/she is Judging.
Stock purchased from a Cavy Judge cannot be exhibited under that Judge until the expiration of three months from the date of purchase.
Method of Judging; whether points system or otherwise is at the discretion of Judge.
The Judge's decision is final and no discussion will be entered into at the Show table. (Later, at an appropriate time, a Judge will always be prepared to talk to an exhibitor).
A Judge may order a person or cavy from the competition for the bad conduct of one or both.
Any Cavy, other than longhairs, being exhibited with artificial colouring or trimming of the coat will be disqualified.
Longhairs being exhibited with artificial colourings will be disqualified from the show. Cutting or trimming of the coats will be penalised at the Judge's discretion.
Smoking in the hall will not be allowed.
Late entries will not be accepted for major shows; for club shows there will be an extra charge.
No person may give the Judge any indication as to the ownership of an exhibt and no attempt must be made to influence his/her awards.
